Roman Romakhin, Maintex Executive Director, took part in the IX St. Petersburg International Gas Forum. Roman made a presentation and took part in the “Application of ‘Digital twin’ concept in production management” roundtable discussion organized by PJSC Gazprom Automation, dedicated to promising areas of digitalization of PJSC Gazprom enterprises.
Roman Romakhin gave the roundtable participants a presentation on the production assets management approaches evolution with an emphasis on reliability management using digital tools. Maintex projects implemented at Russian oil refining, chemistry and metallurgy enterprises were cited as examples. Roman told in detail about the three components of effective asset management — processes, technologies and people:
- How important it is to pay attention to asset management business processes, in particular risk capital margin (RCM), risk based inspection (RBI), failure root cause analysis (RCA), and other techniques
- Use advanced digital platforms that unlock the full potential of asset management
- Invest in people, their knowledge and experience.
The Maintex presentation turned out to be unique among other speeches at the roundtable, as it was focused not only on digital platforms, but also highlighted practical aspects of using tools in combination with management techniques. Such an integrated approach to the management of production assets aroused interest among the roundtable participants, who represented all production segments of PJSC Gazprom — gas-field exploration, production, transportation and processing. Roman demonstrated the generality of asset management approach, in which any production unit of PJSC Gazprom will be able to increase performance and optimize costs, and the Company as a whole will receive a unified asset management methodology based on best practices and tools.
